My Computer is running SLOW! Do I Need Ram?

Thursday, 14 July 2011

This is the most coming question we at Cork Computers are asked on a daily instance. Our research found that 98% of the time the problem your computer / laptop has is Spyware AND Malware.
What is Spyware? Spyware is a type of malware that can be installed on computers, and which collects small pieces of information about users without their knowledge. The presence of spyware is typically hidden from the user, and can be difficult to detect. Typically, spyware is secretly installed on the user's personal computer.
What is Malware? Malware, short for malicious software, consists of programming (code, scripts, active content, and other software) designed to disrupt or deny operation, gather information that leads to loss of privacy or exploitation, gain unauthorized access to system resources, and other abusive behavior.
To sum it up – Spyware and Malware are programs that run on your computer and use most of the available memory themselves before it allows you to use any of your normal programs making the computer for the user to run extremely SLOW
What can I do to remove Spyware / Malware? We have a host of free programs you can use to remove the spyware yourself but in some instances you may have to get the professionals. Welcome to our Blog! I finally made time to add at least something to the site - even thought its almost 4am - I'm setting up a server for a primary school and creating 50 email accounts using Google Apps.

I will post some useful information over the next few days. I will be talking about the new iOS Apple will be launching in the next few months and what changes that will bring and also what Microsoft are upto.

So for now.
